Supporting Local Rescue Efforts

We proudly support local pet rescue organizations through:

  • Volunteer engagement
  • Community awareness
  • Responsible pet ownership education
  • Advocacy for stable, pet-friendly housing

In working alongside rescue organizations, we've seen a consistent challenge:

Many pets enter temporary care not because they are unwanted, but because their owners are facing housing instability.

Often, the housing disruption is temporary.
But without a plan, temporary setbacks can lead to permanent separation.

Housing Stability Matters

Through our outreach work, we recognized that one of the most effective ways to reduce unnecessary pet surrenders is to support housing stability at the source. That insight led to the creation of our:

Housing Stabilization Initiative

This initiative provides structured educational resources for individuals experiencing temporary housing instability who are motivated to regain stability. The focus is preparation — not emergency placement.

Participants receive guidance on:

  • Searching for housing effectively
  • Strengthening rental applications
  • Planning financially for move-in costs
  • Avoiding rental scams
  • Creating a realistic path forward

The goal is simple:

  • Shorten the path back to stable housing.
  • Reduce disruption for families.
  • Keep pets with the people who love them whenever possible.

A Community-Focused Approach

3 Options for Pets is not a subsidy program, and it does not guarantee housing placement.

It is a community outreach effort grounded in education, structure, and responsible transition.

We believe that many housing crises are temporary. With preparation and support, stability can often be restored.
